4 & 4

Silas turned 4 months old yesterday! I'm pretty sure I'll be saying this every time I post month birthday pictures, but...I can't believe another month has passed!
Silas is 15 pounds now what a whopper! He's very long as well, can't wait to see how long he's grown when we go to the doctor's on Tuesday. He's doing really well at sleeping through the night. He'll fall asleep at 10 or 11, and usually wakes up between 5AM-7AM, giving Mommy some much needed sleep! He discovered his fingers a week or two ago and in the last few days has discovered his toes! He's managed to roll himself onto his belly once or twice but isn't too driven to make it every time he tries. Tummy time is going better for him, and he was actually holding his head straight up the other day! He squeals and laughs away, and is just as adorable as can be!

I love to watch him eat, when he falls asleep eating, he'll clench his little fists, too cute!

His belly button is LOTS better as you can see. I think it's gone all the way down, and he's just going to have an outie belly button!

The kitties are doing well, too, growing and fighting, I mean playing all over the apartment. They keep us entertained well!

This HUGE sudden downpour happened the other day, I was a little anxious driving back to work in the puddles after the accident. (I did mention the accident...right? In short: Me + driving to Idaho + 30 miles south of Pocatello + sudden rainstorm = hydroplaning at 75 mph and slamming into a guardrail. I'll post pictures as soon as the insurance guy gets them from the shop!)

Yesterday was the 4th of July, one of my favorite holidays! After working a very successful lunch shift (Walking with $5.45, whooo baby!), we ate at Red Robin, then saw a parade and fireworks in Sandy. Here are a few pictures from our day!

Huge shirt that Nana bought him! He'll have to wear it next year!

Happy as a clam!

I noticed he had eyebrows while feeding him! Dunno if you can see 'em...

All in all it was an alright day, Silas was sure wore out! He passed out on the way home and slept like a champ!

Look at this gem!

I was on youtube.com, looking for videos of my nephew that my parents posted online years ago when I stumbled across this gem...Enjoy! I know I did!

Idaho with Poppie and Nana!

This past weekend, I went up to Idaho to attend my cousin Amy's wedding, and also to see my parents who were in town for the wedding as well. Aside from getting into a car accident on the way up there (more about that in another post!) the weekend was great. Lots of thunderstorms and tons of rain! I felt like I was almost back home in Poulsbo! :)

My Accomplistments!

Here's just some pictures from the last few days. I made a cake "for" Silas for his 3 month birthday; soooooo good!

Here's the recipe for those who want it!:

Lemonade cake
1 Lemon cake mix
1 cup frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 cup powdered sugar
1 container lemon or vanilla frosting.

Prepare and bake cake as directed on package in greased 9x13 pan. Cool 15 minutes.
Stir together lemonade concentrate and powdered sugar. Poke holes in warm cake with fork. Drizzle lemonade mixture evenly over cake. (EVENLY is the key!! I didn't spread it very evenly so the edges were soaked and the middle didn't have much!) Refrigerate cake until cold.
Spread frosting over cake. Cover and refrigerate leftover cake.
(NOTE: I was thinking that it might be good to use the lemon frosting and maybe stir a little lemon juice into it? I used lemon frosting, and it was so good, but it tastes a little fake lemon-y...Do you know what I mean? Just a thought!!)

Today I went shopping with my friend Morgan and scored TWELVE adorable onsies!

What's the best is I got ALL of those for...$32! Sickening, I know. :) Gotta love TJ Maxx!! Here are two of my favorites:

How could I resist when it says "Life is good on the butt"?!

I couldn't resist snapping a quick picture after his last bath. He really is a dang cute baby! :)

Three months!

I can't believe that Silas is three months today! It just seems like last week that I was putting up pictures for his 2 month birthday, boy how time flies!
Silas is a super smiley baby. Once you get him going, he never stops! He's started to do the body grins where he smiles and the rest of his body moves, too; I LOVE IT! No real laughs yet, but any day now!

Snoozin' away

Happy baby!

I get this face a lot from him, it's too cute.

Silas and I hangin out one morning

BBBIIIIIIGGGG SMILE!

Just chillin'!

This is the most I've been able to get him to do during tummy time. He really doesn't like tummy time, so I try to break it up throughout the day, but I forget most of the time. Yikes!

More, more, and more!

Silas is such a fun, good baby. He has the funniest looks, doesn't cry; unless he's hungry, in which case he screams! It's been so fun to get to know him these past two months, I already can't imagine my life without this little guy!!

He's a very messy eater, but sure does love it!

Pro sleeper, for sure!

He looooooves his binky! When he's getting tired we just wrap him up, pop his bink in his mouth and he's out in 5 minutes!

This is one of my favorite faces that he makes. It's not quite the full fledged cute mad/sadness, I'm still trying for a picture of that!

Baby yawns...

Finally!

I finally accomplished most of the stuff that I wanted to, which means that I actually downloaded my camera software AND put pictures onto my computer! Here's a small sampling:

Silas on his 2 month birthday. He's sitting up and holding his head up all by himself here! 'Course he started tipping over right after this picture, haha.

Look at how long he is!!! 22 1/2 inches, thank you!

We had just both woken up, hence the glasses. Not too shabby though, especially for being self-taken!!

Look at those beautiful blues!

My best friend Cory came out for the week, so much fun! We were hot tubbing at our friend Morgan's place here. :)
