PICTURES!

Finally, baby pictures! My dad finally got into town today, bringing his laptop so we're using the hospital's wireless to post some pictures!

We finally get to put clothes on him, so he looks like a real baby! You can't tell here, but the only tube he's got IN him now, is his feeding tube, yay! He does have a few cords monitoring his heart and stuff but that's typical of every baby here.

My first time holding him, that scary looking thing is his CPAP, it helped to keep his lungs open so he didn't have as hard of a time breathing.

Little tootsies!!!!

Baby's HERE!

Well, well, a few weeks early and I'm a mom! Holy cow! I know that not a lot of people read this, but while I'm actually near a computer I want to post really quick. Pictures will be (hopefully) coming soon!
My water broke last Tuesday night, not even an hour after my dr's appointment where my Dr. assured me that I wouldn't be having him within the next week...Right! Anyway, we sped down to the hospital...and waited. At 4AM I was put on Pitocin to start my labor and at 1:19PM out came Silas Oliver!!
I was 36 weeks when I delivered so he was definitely early. His lungs are underdeveloped, mostly the left one, so he was transferred to the Utah Valley NICU in Provo a few hours after birth and will be there until he is well. Right now he's just on a CPAP that is helping to keep his lungs fully inflated. He is getting a little bit of air in there, alternating from room air (21%) to 25%, so overall he's doing well. We just gotta get him off the CPAP and breathing well, then breastfeeding well and then he can come home!!
Please keep us in your prayers, I'd like my little boy home sooner rather than later, haha!!
