♫ These are a few of my favorite things ♫

I've been wandering through and around the house the last few days taking pictures of my favorite things here. I love coming home so much, I just had to capture a few of my favorite things so I can look at them anytime!

Our beautiful Christmas tree

Watching whatever's going on in the kitchen from my mom's amazing Lay-Z-Boy

Our front yard. Isn't that just picture perfect!

The kitchen, and the view from the kitchen window

All the fog that make this are so dang pretty!

Of course my stinkin' cute little baby! And my brown hair. :)

And, finally, my mom's Kindle that I've fallen in love with! If hers is missing when I leave to go back to Cali, it wasn't me!!!

Happy doings

We've been quite busy at home baking, sewing, pulling ornaments off the Christmas tree (Silas), putting ornaments back on the tree (Me), napping, playing and eating!
This last weekend we spent the night in Seattle and picked up Uncle Ben from the airport on Saturday. Silas still isn't totally sure of him, but likes him enough to let Ben hold him...A good start!
I finally got the guts to start a cooking blog, an idea I've been tossing around in my brain for a long time. You can find it at www.thebakingdiva.blogspot.com. Check it out!
Here's a bunch of pictures from our time here so far!

The view from the hotel window

How do you stop a baby from pulling open and shut the drawers, thereby putting his little fingers in danger?...

Simple! You put him IN the drawer! This entertained him for like 15 minutes. It was great.

Long story short, my suitecase, with all of Silas's clothes AND his swimsuit got left in Poulsbo. Our friends the Broadbents were able to get it for me before they came over, but we were too impatient to wait for a swimsuit. So he swam in his onesie and LOVED it!

Home for the holidays!

I FINALLY flew to Poulsbo on Monday and have been living the sweet life ever since. I love being at home, and can not leave the house for days on end and not feel restless or antsy like I do in California. Silas had a rough couple of first days but is just as happy as can be and is slowly getting used to Poppie and Nana. I went to a Relief Society progressive dinner the other night with my mom and sister, leaving Silas at home with my dad, YIKES! He did great though, only throwing the smallest of fits after being tired and went right to sleep for my dad!
I was doing laundry the other day and put Silas up on my bed to play while I cleaned around him. I turned around and he has tipped my little laundry basket over on top of him and was just as pleased as punch to be in it! I grabbed my camera and snapped a few shots!

Seriously, how cute is this guy?? Love him!

These next few pictures are what happens when you leave your camera sitting around!

Also, I finally sat down and created the cooking blog that I've been thinking about doing for months now! You can find it at www.thebakingdiva.blogspot.com. There's only one post, though, so you gotta wait for the good stuff!
I am off to bed...Maybe. My mom's Cayenne Cashew Toffee is calling my name from the pantry, I might have to swing by for a piece!

Introducing...

The next Johnny Cash!

He's gonna revolutionize the fashion industry with his concept of "less is more...in diapers!" idea. Right after he has some Bananas for lunch and then takes a nap!!
